September 1954 enlisted in the USN
and attended boot camp at Bainbridge,
MD. December 1954 reported to Treasure Island, CA for
ETA School. July 1955 graduated school as
CTCN (E3) with assignment to Bremerhaven,
Germany.
Arrived there August 1955. Made E6 in May 1958. Departed NSGA Bremerhaven
October 1958 with assignment to Tuslog Det. 28,
Karamursel after home leave. November 1958 arrived at Karamursel. Departed
there in August 1959 and was released from active duty to the standby
reserves that same month. Was discharged from USN in September 1962.
June 1964 graduated from Ohio State
with BSEE and joined IBM in Lexington,
KY. August 1966 enlisted in
USNR as a CTM1. July 1969 received direct commission to LTJG (O2) CEC USNR.
November 1989 retired as CDR (O5) USNR.
