When I left Turkey in '61 I was sent to Kelly
Security Service in Texas, like you don't know where Kelly is. I got married
in 1962 in Scranton Pa. We had a son Jeffrey In December of 1963. My wife
passed away in feb of 1964 from an unkown illness which was later diagnosed
as heart disease.I was living in New Jersey at the time after being discharged
in 1962. I was woking in the computer dept.of a bank in Bloomfied NJ.
I moved back to Pa. with my son after my wife
passed away. I married again in 1966 and went to work for Hoffman La Roche
in New Jersy and had another son Leonard who was born in 1968. I worked
in New jersey until 1977 and then transfered to Dallas Texas with Laroche
until 1982.
I then left Laroche and opened an Italian
Resturant which I had for 3 years before losing my ass. I then went to
work for a hardware distributor named Lawson Product as a salesman and
then as a national accounts Manager and had a massive heart attack in sept
of 1987 lost 25% of my heart but had a successfull Quadruple bypass operation
and after a year continued to play softball .
I got divorced in 1989 after about 25 years
and relocated to the bay area to a town called Castro Valley Ca. It is
about 30 miles east of San Francisco. I remarried in 1991 and now have
two step children and two step grandchildren. My sons both still live in
Plano Texas and the oldest has two sons ages 3 & 6.
I still work for Lawson Products as a National
Account Manager with about 15 states as my territory. Softball is over
because I now have 2 artifical Knees but I still can play golf and show
my scar's to get exter strokes.
That is about the whole of my life after Turkey
and I am sorry I haven't been able to do this sooner but I am always traveling.
Now that my stepdaughter is in college I take my wife with me when ever
she wants to go which makes it nice.I get to keep my air miles so that
makes it nice to.
I am very interested in a reunion if it comes
about and i will try to get online more often.
